Charitable Groups

Our charter allows us to partner with registered Charitable Groups who deliver assistance to Western Australian individuals or communities that we consider to be in significant need.

To be considered for assistance from WA Charity Direct, Charitable Groups should:

  • be registered as a charity
  • be endorsed by the A.T.O. as a charitable fund and have deductible gift recipient status
  • be in need of funds for a particular purpose that relates to individuals or communities
  • meet a fundamental community need
  • demonstrate our contribution will make a material impact on the ultimate recipients
  • usually not be a mainstream charity or have a geared-up charity collection mechanism
  • usually not receive a major part of your funding from Government bodies

WA Charity Direct’s charter only provides for Charitable Groups who operate in Western Australia.

WA Charity Direct reviews applications from Charitable Groups twice per year in May and November.
